Summary0012021: Program completely hangs up every 10-30 seconds
DescriptionHello everyone!

My second base (since playing 10 years ago) was somewhat successful and I had a full population and tons of visitors. I was playing with water down in the caverns, had plenty of workshops etc. I only bring this up because my computer handled it easily.

That base was deteriorating so I abandoned it and started a new one in the same world and since not long after I've been getting huge lag spikes.

Started a new world...was ok for a while but now huge lag spikes again. I'm at about 100 dwarves. Haven't even cracked the caverns yet. The entire program just freezes up for 15 seconds or so. Then it gets through whatever it was hung up on and is 100% fine for a little (10-30 seconds) then does it again. It happens whether or not I'm moving the camera but only when the game is unpaused. Some are bad enough that windows reports the program as unresponsive.

Uninstalled and reinstalled, no help.

Did everything I could find from every post I could find on the internet...changed fps, changed to windowed mode, changed resolution, etc. Nothing helps. I'm certain it's not a graphics issue. There's no spikes in cpu/ram/gpu usage. There's nothing in the error log.

Anyone have any ideas?

Here's a video. You can see the computer itself is responsive just the program keeps getting hung up on something.

I loaded the save onto my other computer and it's still doing it.
