| Description | Around 90% of my vanilla world creations I'm running into this issue within the first year of time passing. Other players say they also experience it often of late so I haven't included a save file. I have to imagine the development team is aware of it already, but here's my experience: Seems to be packs of animals cause this more often than singular ones. They wander the map for a while as usual, but when they go to the edge to transition out, they stay there in a close group. Land creatures shuffling around a few tiles and have babies. Sometimes after months they eventually vanish, but most often years go by and they are still there. Going and hunting the animals down will cause them to flee, they always return to the same location as if stuck trying to exit off the same spot off the map but something is blocking them. Removing the bugged animals is a temporary fix as the problem is likely to reappear in the next few waves of wildlife. This is most impactful when it happens with flying creatures since they can't be hunted down practically outside of DFHack's exterminate command. Other wildlife can't spawn as a result, and in a bug report from ten years ago discussing a similar issue, it suggests invasions are being prevented.
