got the following error msg in the log after the loading:

dont know if they are critical enough to close the game, maybe it helps in something

They aren't, I've had those errors for a while now. In the other similar error we determined it might be the giant sparrow hatchlings that just hatched.

A new install did not solve the problem. Does anyone have a way to see what caused a crash if there's no errorlog?

DFhack. Let me try a completely clean, fresh install, then I'll come back to you.

A fresh install does nothing.

Replacing the world.sav with one from an earlier world works, but also makes the map exactly the same as the world it was copied from. This is not a solution.
