| Description | Whenever I start a world generation the game crashes when creating a history. Last time I tried it got to the year 174 I think. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Run df script 2. Press enter on "Create New World" 3. Set Parameters for {World Size, History, Number of Civilizations, Max Number of Sites, Natural Savagery, Mineral Occurrence} to {Large, Very Long, Very High, Very High, Very High, Very Low, Everywhere} respectively 4. Press Y to start 5. Hit Green plus to enlarge | ||||
| Additional Information | First Time Playing, really wanted to start with huge world and very long history since that is one of the best parts. Really want to start playing so any assistance you could provide me will be much appreciated | ||||

Sounds like a duplicate of 0002715, "Crash during huge, lengthy world gen (out-of-memory)". Try again with some smaller worlds, please. |

I would've suggested the same thing. In the future, Jello - the admins generally frown on users attaching their own tags. Just something to keep in mind. |

You can attach your own tags, but don't get crazy, and please check that there isn't already a tag that would suffice. Tags that are just words of what is already searchable (such as in the title or description) are unwarranted. |

Sorry for the tags thanks for the info. Anyway a smaller map with a short history worked, but instead I downgraded using the Macnewbie pack which I think is 40.05.I set the parameters to what I original wanted and it worked. However when I tried embarking it crashed, but once I restarted everything worked fine |

Another note, Sorry I forgot to mention, but the only error logs I received in the errorlog.txt file was impoverished world selector and Plains trying to generate musical form without speech or instruments. I also received an apple error message but could not discern what it was trying to say. |
