Summary0011280: The name of a claimed pet does not display, after receiving a name by killing a sentient being
DescriptionIf you claim a pet and decide not to name it, and it kills a sentient being (and receiving a name), this name will not be displayed. All interactions involving the animal (such as petting it, talking to it, fighting) will simply refer it to its species.

If you look at the animal's description, it will show the animal's given name. The animal's name will also included when you observe blood spatters from the animal.
Steps To Reproduce1. Claim a pet, preferably something dangerous. Do not name it.

2. Have the pet kill a sentient being, earning it a name.

3. Look at the pet's description. Its new name will be at the top.

I had a similar issue where it said that in Legends Mode that a dragon was "struck down by a goblin".

This should be fixed for next time - there were a few problems with how name information passed around because the kill titles are given from who knows where and the adventurer doesn't learn them. Now they do, but we'll need to change all that when we add real titles.
