Summary0010461: Elves' weapons and armor, including artifacts, are made of non-grown wood, and cannot be traded back
DescriptionElf soldiers wear armor and carry weapons made of wood, but this wood is rarely, if ever, marked as "grown." Therefore, because of their ethics, elves will not accept in trade the very weapons that they carry when realized on the local map.
Steps To ReproduceAcquire elven weapons. Try to trade them to elves. Fail miserably.
Additional InformationIn the most extreme example that I have seen so far, an elven companion of my adventurer has expressed a desire to recover an artifact wooden bow as a family heirloom, only to refuse to accept the artifact when my adventurer tries to give it to her.

Well shit. This was fixed in early DF2014, but now guess it's back with a vengeance.

Likely related, I've noticed that when making goods (say, beds) out of grown wood logs obtained from elf caravans, they lose the "grown" descriptor and become regular unethical wood products.

For clarity's sake, I should add that the artifact that I mentioned was named by an elf after using it to kill a monster during worldgen.
