| Description | My raw Turtles are being listed twice...in different stack sizes. Currently i have a 6 and an 8 stack. Running prepare fish orders brings the count down, but not of both entries at once. It's not a duplicate entry, it's 2 actual valid entiries as far as inventory control is concerned. Prepare fish orders on a stack of 5 and a stack of 4 gives 9 turtle when finished, after 9 completions of the job | ||||

This issue has occured in every game I've played. While minor if the issue isnt going to be resolved it should be stated that the steps to reproduce is just to start a new game. |

This is normal behavior - item stacks are distinct, and at no point do they ever get merged. |

^^^ I can't tell whether s/he means the grouped view or the individual view in Stocks (switch between them with Tab). If there are multiple "raw turtle" entries in the group view, then it's probably caste-related. If there are multiple stacks in the individual view, then that's normal, as Quietust said. |

stock view, i very rarely use the indiv view unless i'm setting melt orders on over/under-sized gear which is why i said 'stacks' not listings. it's listed as if 1 barrel isn't being counted with another barrel...instead of seeing "Raw Turtle 14" it says " Raw Turtle 8 Raw Turtle 6 " edit: as far as i was aware, it's not like there are different grades to a raw fish..its like saying theres a 'masterwork stone' after mining a chunk of dirt... |

Caste = gender for most purposes. One of those stacks is girl fish, the other is boy fish. |

There were duplicates for some of the animals, too, I thought it was nice to give a choice of gender. I don't think the actual gender symbols were represented though, I can see how that might be confusing. |

I was seeing raw turtle 560 raw turtle 440 in my stocks screen, I just figured it was another issue of the double entries at embark and didn't say anything. |

I think a good question then is why do animals we cant breed have gender? |
