| Summary | 0011263: Criminal Network maps don't show the network. | ||||
| Description | If you export the map of a wide variety of criminal networks, you will find there's not much difference between the maps. In fact, there's no difference at all. I suspect the actual network itself is not being drawn. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Find a historical figure with the export-network-map function. 2. Export the map 3. Repeat several times with different figures. 4. Find no difference or useful information on the maps. | ||||

Yeah, can confirm this. I'm also seeing historical figures with no apparent criminal activity (just born, married, killed by a roc, etc) for which you can export a network map for. |

Yes, I think that might be a different bug entirely; some legends items just missing from the histfigs pages. From the legends.xml, it seems that DF keeps an abstract todo list and agreements for all its plotting histfigs. For the map creation, DF then just checks whether these things are there. I think the histfigs however are missing registrations of events for their plotting, or that these events are hidden due some weirdness. I won't be able to confirm this until either this bug is fixed or the legends viewers and browsers have been updated however. |

Ah, yeah, I changed to a different method (relying on actor links rather than plots, which aren't as reliable), and the graphs broke. The graphs only work for the living, sadly - I need to do snapshots eventually for evidence/investigations, and hopefully that'll lead to historical network graphs as well. |
