Summary | 0011988: Unintuitive behavior when dumping minecarts assigned to routes
Description | If you try to dump a minecart that is assigned to a minecart route and at a stop, dwarves will not ever move it to the dump zone. This can be quite confusing behaviour: there is no indication that a minecart is assigned to a minecart route when you click on it, and when marked for dumping the minecart will also vanish from the interface used to assign minecarts to routes. I ran into this when using the "haul lava minecarts to make magma smelters at high elevation" trick and it took me ages to figure out why dwarves weren't bringing the minecarts back down to be filled again. To reproduce: Embark, chop down a tree and make a carpenters workshop and a wooden minecart Create a new minecart route, add a stop on an arbitrary tile, and assign the minecart to the route. Let the dwarves bring the minecart to the tile Create a dumping zone and set dwarves to haul outside refuse in standing orders Assign the minecart for dumping. The dwarves will ignore the minecart.
