Summary0012100: Parley Seems Broken
DescriptionSo Invasion shows up, asks to parley, and I say yes. My baron approaches the invading force with a loyal war dog in tow, the invaders chase/scare off the baron and kill the war dog. The baron approaches them a second time because his job is "Parley". Three of the invaders chase him back to the base.

Now it seems like this feature should allow for peaceful resolution but it's not clear how it could if my fort leader can't successfully even approach the other side to do it. If they had a peaceful meeting and then decided to murder the baron or whoever I would understand that as a double-cross, but the way it is setup now if I say yes to their parley I am pretty much guaranteed I will lose whoever goes to talk it out with the invaders because eventually they will catch to said leader, who at least in some cases (like mine) is untrained and unarmed.

Save in gdrive is the baron approaching the group. (no mods, generated in 50.03)

I ran into the opposite problem. I agreed to hand over the artifact, but then the Mayor went off and farted around on other tasks. Even when I disabled his other labor, he didn't pick it up. (This might be because I had it locked away in an unreachable location when I made the agreement.)

So I set up ballistas aimed at the invading army, expecting a fight when I broke the truce. I expected them to charge when the first bolt was fired, but to my surprise I could take potshots at them for an entire in-game season; they started moving only after the game automatically saved.
