| Description | When constructing a floor or a wall (e.g. out of granite), then you can engrave it. But once you deconstruct the floor/wall the engraving persists...you can even click the deconstructed floor/wall tile and still get the description of the engraving. Constructing a new floor/wall on the same spot out of another material (e.g. now out of jet) still has the same engraving as the floor/wall made out of granite before . Once a constructed floor/wall gets engraved, the engraving remains permanently on this tile. Have not tested, if it even gives any happy thoughts or raises value of the fort, when remaining after deconstruction. Version: 50.04 (all vanilla) OS: Windows 11 | ||||

I just reproduced this. I was enlarging a space, the walls had engravings on them. when I deconstructed and built floors, the floors look normal, but the tip has the engraving on it. You are also not permitted to "engrave" the plain floortile |

I also reproduced this. I had an adequately engraved oak block floor that I was intending to replace with a gold block floor, masterfully engraved by my legendary engravers. Instead I found that when the gold blocks were placed they were already engraved -- with the quality and the content engraved on the oak blocks. The engravings seem to be attached to the concept of floor on a specific tile, not to an actual piece of floor. |
