Summary | 0012597: Animals with layered graphics do not update animated/child sprites correctly.
Description | Upon any layered animal growing up from a child (eg, all wagon pullers) their sprite will not update to show the adult sprite, until the save file is reloaded. These same animals will also not correctly render their animated sprite, instead using their default (living) sprite instead. Images: https://imgur.com/a/2tGhWJ8
Steps To Reproduce | Embark with, or have a child of any wagon puller be born, wait for them to grow to adulthood, their sprite will still be their child variant, despite being an adult in-game. If file is saved, then reloaded from the menu, the animal will not correctly use it's adult sprite. Embark in an evil biome, or have a necromancer revive any wagon puller and their default sprite will load for their animated corpses instead of their animated sprite.

Their sprite won't show when creating undead pack animals in the object testing arena either. I've tried this with unicorns, yak bulls, donkeys, mules, horses and elephants; and none of them show their undead sprites. This same problem also happens with pack animals from mods. |
