Summary | 0012634: Opening settings menu erases tileset config
Description | I play the game in ASCII mode and I tend to use a custom tileset (like the vanilla 10x12 or taffer’s 9x9). Every time I open the in-game settings menu my tileset changes are erased from prefs/init.txt and i have to re-add them from my text editor.
Steps To Reproduce | - Open prefs/init.txt - Add lines setting FONT, FULLFONT, and/or FONT_BASIC (ie: to the 10x12 font rather than the default 8x12) - Save your changes to the file - Open dwarf fortress, preferably using classic ascii graphics, and observe the change to the tileset - Open the settings menu. You do not need to change any settings - Optionally close the settings menu and the game - Open prefs/init.txt. The lines added in step 1 will be missing.
Additional Information | This also happens in older 50.x versions. It happens upon opening settings at any time regardless of whether any settings are charged and regardless of whether the settings menu is closed or the game exits cleanly. This coupled by the fact that you can’t change the font from the graphical settings menu makes playing with any tileset other than the default 8x12 a bit of a hassle.
