| Summary | 0012787: Two tracks play over themselves when switching from Adventure mode to Fort mode | ||||
| Description | Once playing adventure mode and a background music piece begins, quitting to menu the current track continues to play. When switching to Fort mode, another track begins to play and both pieces play at the same time. I believe this is caused by the piece "Strike the Earth" beginning when a new Fort is created but I'm unsure if this would happen if you were to continue an old fort and a new piece would begin to play. New background piece should probably mute or crossfade old song when beginning. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Start DF "Dwarf Fortress" menu music begins to play. Continue game - adventure mode. A new piece begins to play. When Esc menu is opened is only says "Last Track: Dwarf Fortress" - does not show new piece name. Save and return to menu (save to timeline) - quit without saving stops background track Create new world, Play now, Fortress mode, Embark and Play Now BUG: Strike the Earth begins playing superimposed on top of new Adventure mode Music. | ||||
| Additional Information | Other inconsistencies: When save and quit to menu from both modes, background music will continue playing in Main Menu, When quit without saving it seems track is faded out instead. When Switching from Fort mode to main menu to Adventure mode piece is suddenly muted rather than slightly fading out to mute. Upon further testing I have found: Menu Menu to (create new world) to Fort mode: track is crossfaded Menu to (create new world) to Adventure mode: track is suddenly muted | ||||
