Summary | 0012796: 100% guaranteed crashes during character creation in 4:3
Description | my game version is 50.01. my error and crash logs are blank, but the error is easy to reproduce. simply use a 4:3 monitor, be in fullscreen, and around 80% of the time it crashes upon picking a species, then a 100% guaranteed crash when pressing "ready to adventure!" at the very end (extra frustrating). I can get all the way to starting an adventure game and playing it without a hitch if I simply play in windowed mode, but obviously that means no full screen for me and my 4:3 monitors, which otherwise are great for Dwarf Fortress, especially fortress mode.
Steps To Reproduce | have a 4:3 monitor. set to full screen. go through adventure mode character creation, if it doesn't crash when picking a race/species, it will crash upon pressing the "ready to adventure!" button every single time.
Additional Information | I doubt it makes a difference, but my exact resolution is 1280x1024, but the issue seems to be more to do with the aspect ratio and the placement of GUI elements rather than the raw resolution.
