Summary | 0013093: Travel map is broken in Adventure Mode when using ASCII glyphs. |
---|
Description | When entering travel mode while playing with the ascii glyphs, the travel map is broken. You can only see the world map with no symbol showing where you are and are unable to go into the regular travel map. When trying to move with the numpad or mouse it does take your inputs and you are able to move but you can't really see that you have moved unless you exit travel mode and go back into local mode. This makes travel mode unusable because you are unable to navigate at all and by extension this makes the entire adventure mode nearly unplayable because an important feature that is basically required to use is, well, unusable. This affects both the free version and the paid version of Dwarf Fortress when playing with ASCII graphics enabled, and makes the use of a tile set required for the free version to be playable. It bars those of us who enjoy the ASCII visuals from playing adventure mode with the ASCII visuals. |
