| Summary | 0013125: Symbols Assigned to Officials and Nobles become bugged when Reassigned (In Steam release) | ||||
| Description | If you assign an item or artifact to be the symbol of an office or noble position, and then you reassign that item to another official or noble the item will become bugged. Currently, to avoid the bug you must carefully remove the assignment of an item and then assign it to a new official. If you do not remove the current assignment of an office then when you make the new assignment as a symbol to a different office the item will become permanently bugged. You will be unable to ever remove the initial assignment to the first office. You will be unable to assign the item to any other office. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Simply assign an item or artifact as the symbol of a noble or official and then assign that item to a new noble or official position without removing the assignment to the first position. | ||||
| Additional Information | It is not game-breaking, but it is extremely annoying, at least to me. It annoys me so much I quit playing over this. Hopefully it is simple to fix. | ||||

I can't get this to reproduce. I assigned a pick as a symbol for various positions, without removing it, and the dwarves dutifully handed it off. I'll need a more specific situation to reproduce. |

In my experience, this occurred when the GAME rearranged the assignment of noble positions. Example, my baroness became a duchess and their assigned artifact ring and earring are now just sitting in a stockpile. They are not found within the 'Choose symbols for the position hold to carry or wear' but are found in the Objects:Artifacts menu |
