Summary | 0013161: Wildlife stuck trying to path through locked door even though alternate route is available
Description | Animals will sometimes get stuck trying to path through a locked door even though an alternate, unlocked, and unobstructed route exists. The screenshot linked below shows a giant olm getting stuck at a locked door while trying to head for the map edge even though an unlocked door leading to the map edge is nearby. Note: the door was already locked before the giant olm spawned into the map via the same map edge it is trying to leave through. I've observed this behavior occuring multiple times with level 1 building destroyers (e.g. giant cave toads, cave crocodies, etc). I also noticed the same behavior with an experiment that occasionally visits my fortress (possibly a building destroyer too). I have not noticed non-building destroyers exhibing the same behavior in the same locations/situations. A save file is provided in the links below.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Restrict entry/exit to all map edges to a handful of doors, locking all but leaving at least one unlocked for each open map edge. Lock all doors leading to the surface. 2. Wait for solitary wildlife to appear (herds tend to get stuck for a different reason). 3. Wait for wildlife to attempt to leave the map.
