What do you mean by "background"? A screenshot would help. |

Does this not happen in other configurations (i.e. X11) without changing anything about the DF installation? |

It does not happen on X11, nor is it caused by DFHack |

It happens on X11 as well, but only when using a multi-monitor setup such that the primary monitor (in which the Dwarf Fortress window always appears initially) does not occupy the top-left corner of the desktop. |

re: Quietust Checked it on wayland, once it's set to topleft corner, it works again, so it's the same issue. |
