| Description | Yesterday I bought a new laptop with Windows 11, and the first game I downloaded for it was Dwarf Fortress. Do I need to download any libraries for the game to work? I tried replacing png with bmp in the init file, but it didn't help. I found reports about a similar problem here, but they were on Linux, not Windows, so the solutions there don't work. | ||||

Presumably you downloaded the Windows Classic version from the bay12 website - did you extract the ZIP file to a directory first, or did you just double-click "Dwarf Fortress.exe" from inside the archive? |

I tested some versions. 52.01 has the same bug, but 51.13 works correctly. New version 52.05 also has the bug |

I forgot to say, but this error completely prevents the game from launcing. |
