| Description | OR another way to say it is that there's no way to get rid of old/irrelevant rumors. And when a player tries to spread a rumor, the list is really quite long, but that's another story! Every time you encounter animals in the wild you get about 6 new events. After hunting down and defeating giant animal predators or night creatures/monsters, NPCs will still have them listed as things that trouble them, and will respond that the creature "is dead" if you ask about their whereabouts. If you have not previously spread the rumor to them that the beast is slain, they may still tell you the previous location where they were known to be. And when you do spread the rumor, there's also a follow-up question, "Can you tell me where I can find myself?" Which the NPC will respond that they don't know where you are (while you are standing in front of them). Also, sometimes companions will spontaneously spread the rumor of the presence of dead creatures in a lair, even if they were present when the creature died. | ||||
