| Summary | 0013383: Not planning carefully at embark results in dwarves bringing 100+ copper weapons in custom worldgen setup. | ||||
| Description | As the summary states. Whenever I start a new fortress in a world that isn't made with just the 'basic options', unless I specifically choose to plan the embark carefully, it ALWAYS results in the dwarves bringing a frankly absurd amount of copper weapons with them. Always copper. I tried a new embark just to check, and I ended up with: - 42 Copper Battle Axes - 27 Copper War Hammers - 36 Copper Short Swords - 35 Copper Spears - 39 Copper Maces This has been an issue for me almost since I first started playing the game. Here's a link to a post I made the first time it happened for me. I was playing with the most recent version at the time of taking this image. https://www.tumblr.com/moonyasnow/781379103055036416/ssifstisit-why-did-my-starting-dwarves-bring-198 I've checked, and it's not any of my mods causing it. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | I don't know if others have gotten this bug or not, so I don't know if it'll be possible to reproduce. But I know it happens in every single one of my non-basic options worlds, regardless of civilization, age of world, etc, when I start a new fortress and click 'play now' instead of planning the embark carefully. | ||||
| Additional Information | At first I didn't realize it was only in custom setup worlds. But I then tried to test if it was due to my custom world gen setups, so I created a new world using the default options, and created a new fortress. But in that fortress, I got a more normal amount of weapons. I don't know what part of world gen causes it, sadly. I tried making worlds with and without mods, and none of the Basic Options worlds had the issue, regardless of if I included mods or not. I would gladly share the world.dat file for one of the worlds it affects, if someone could explain how I'd do that. | ||||
