| Summary | 0013390: Unit stuck in old army, disappears on mission | ||||
| Description | Limul erithzuntir (hf 6722) remains in an army (175441) they were a part of when visiting the fort. They eventually became a citizen and were put in a squad. Sending this dwarf on a mission causes them to be lost forever. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Send Boots of Relieving to raid nearby mysterious lair Creviceeagles. Receive an alert that 3 masterworks (bolts) are lost when Limul exits map. Squad returns from mission, except Limul. | ||||
| Additional Information | Installed mods are included except Soundsense Originals. | ||||

Related to 0013251. I tried hacking them out of their old army and setting the state profile army ID to -1 before the mission. Doesn't help. |

The army seems to have actually disappeared just before the posted save. (It's present in https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=17684) What's more alarming is that the HF's nemesis record is missing even by that point. It's only present in my pre-embark save (Nemesis ID 3207, save_file_id 656, member_idx 50). IDK what to do with that info, but unit-656.dat is still present in the current save. However, it seems most of the other dat files have been slowly disappearing over time. My method for saving has been to save and continue, then quit without saving afterwards if I'm done playing. I never save and quit. Seasonal autosaves, no save compression. Unfortunately, I've cleared the errorlog.txt over time, as it bloated with errors about FB raws. The general trend was warnings about unit files missing or corrupted every so often. It was looking in autosave folders sometimes, which is weird because I never load from those. |

Haven't had any missing unit dats in my 53.08 world. Unfortunately the civs in that world are too dead to send me residents to test if the issue occurs independently. |
