| Summary | 0013448: Dwarves path through magma mist |
|---|
| Description | It seems that dwarves do not recognise it as a threat in the way they recognise fire and magma. Magma mist will be hanging in/occupying a tile, and a healthy, sane dwarf will walk right into it if he is on the way to a job. |
|---|
| Steps To Reproduce | Create magma mist, while creating jobs (e.g. mining) beyond where the magma mist will be. |
|---|
| Additional Information | Magma mist is an absurd concept anway. Molten rock is very dense, so does not splash about except under colossal force. Throwing items into a dump-shaft with magma at the bottom should virtually never result in magma splashing upwards. Currently, the volume of the item thrown into magma is what determines whether magma mist will be created, but this does not make sense: an ogre corpse is less dense than magma, so the only thing that could happen to it if it did not burn to dust is that it would float/sit on the surface of the magma. |
