| Summary | 0013449: Miners walk into newly dug channels even when they are walking into the path of magma | ||||
| Description | There is a behaviour with miners which doesn't seem right. Often, when mining adamantine seams/pillars, one will end up channeling into rock from above, in order to release a pocket of magma which has been located. The problem is, it takes a few ticks for the magma in the pocket to begin to flow into the newly-channeled tile, which means that, if that tile is between the miner and his next job, he will path through it, oblivious to the fact that, in reality, he has just *made* that tile dangerous. I know that there is a lot of FUN involved in mining generally, and especially liquids, but this is surely not intended behaviour. I'm having to sit here with gui/teleport, babysitting my miners. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Locate a magma pocket in a volcanic wall/adamantine seam. Channel from the z-layer above it, into one of the tiles of obsidian at its circumference, thereby releasing the magma. If the miner's next job would cause him to path through that channeled tile, the miner will step right onto it, to be engulfed in magma a moment later. | ||||
