| Summary | 0013529: Abandoning smoothing / engraving job always wins race condition against closing hatch cover dwarf needs to stand on | ||||
| Description | If a dwarf needs to ascend through a hatch to perform a smoothing / engraving job and they need to stand on that same hatch to do the job, opening the hatch will break the path to the job, causing a race condition between closing the hatch to restore the path and abandoning the job, and abandoning the job always wins. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Dig a rectangular room whose only access is a ramp from below in one of the corners. 2. Build a hatch cover over the ramp. 3. Designate the corner with the ramp for engraving. Observed: Dwarves repeatedly take the job, pathfind through the hatch to the job site, travel to the ramp, open the hatch, ascend the ramp, try and fail to pathfind to the job again, and abandon the job. Expected: Dwarf takes the job, pathfinds through the hatch to the job site, travels to the ramp, opens the hatch, ascends the ramp, closes the hatch, completes travel to the job site, and does the job. | ||||
