| Summary | 0013530: Caravans bring food based on wrong numbers | ||||
| Description | When caravans arrive, they bring extra food based on your population and the edible food counts in the latest report statistics. However, they are using the wrong numbers, taking the "Food" value in the status bar and then subtracting the "Drink" and "Seeds" counts. In versions 0.47.05 and earlier, this logic was correct because the "Food" value was simply the sum of the 6 values following it (and "Food - (Drinks + Seeds)" was equal to "Meat + Fish + Plant + Other" while requiring slightly less code), but version 50.01 changed the "Food" value to be calculated differently and no longer count drinks or seeds, which means if you have a very large amount of alcohol in your fortress (compared to your stockpiles of edible food), caravans may incorrectly conclude that you are in need of even more food. | ||||
