| Description | I have an automatic immigrant airlock set up with a pressure plate set to be triggered by citizens that activated a retracting drawbridge to drop immigrants safely into my fortress. I also have a raising bridge set up triggered by pressure plate that senses enemies and not civilians. The pressure plate set up to not trigger for civilians is working as intended. The pressure plate set up to trigger for civilians is triggering for both civilians and ambushers, and dropping ambushers into my fortress. This is different behavior than in 40d, where pressure plates set to trigger for civilians did not trigger for ambushers. Is this intentional or a bug? | ||||

I don't think this is a bug. As far as I know, "citizens trigger" mode was never intended to mean ONLY citizens trigger it. |

It did however work that way under 40d. Is this an intentional change? |

The current text in the wiki on this is: "NOTE: The creature selection screen has an additional setting that allows the pressure plate to ignore, or be triggered by, your citizens. "Citizens" include tame animals but not merchants or liaisons. Pressure plates that can be triggered by citizens will remain triggerable by non-citizens as well-- there is no way to make a pressure plate that is triggerable by only civilians." Possibly it could be closed, and requests for a "citizen only" pressure plate could go to suggestions? |
