| Description | A couple times I've had a dwarf doing something repeated (blocks, fuel, etc) and added a temporary item or two to their list and promoted them above it. For example, I had my mason doing blocks. I needed an armor rack and weapon rack. I added them and promoted them. 10 minutes later I realized they hadn't been made. He was still there, but the items were still on his list. As soon as I canceled the blocks he made them almost immediately. | ||||

Are you absolutely sure that they were ignoring the higher priority tasks to favour repeated ones? I don't think I ever experienced this myself, and wasn't able to reproduce it. There were no job cancellations or suspensions I hope? |

absolutely sure. He was an experienced mason. It didn't take him 10 minutes to finish 1 block. As soon as I canceled the block repeated task, he finished the armor and weapon rack so fast I could barely query him again before they were gone off the list. |
