| Description | I'm not sure in any way about this bug, as I find no real way to objectively test this bug, but it seemed to me, that goblins in cages got stronger over time. Everytime my military fought against "newcomers" they were much more effective, than against caged creatures. In the last game, I let a whole group of 7 (newbie)military dwarves fight in a pit against 1 caged hammergoblin and they nearly got crushed by this one (fully equipped) goblin. My dwarves were equipped with steel (or iron, but mostly steel) armor and adamantine weapons. All dwarves got hurt, all but one needed at least suturing, 3 needed surgery after the fight. My first military group of 5 dwarves also fought in 31.03 against one caged speargoblin and skilled from dabbling to legendary during this fight. Nobody was hurt during this fight, but they had higher skills in Armor User and Shield User (1-2 war dogs were killed though). Outside of the fort against ambushers and inside against creatures from the deep (also against forgotten beasts), they did a much better job. | ||||

I doubt there's any bug here, but for the record: I wanted to slaughter a caged axegoblin and send five dwarves to do so. They were all wounded and ran, I managed to kill the goblin only after calling in reinforcements. My dwarves SHOULD kill a single goblin no problem, but I thought I only got unlucky. |
