Uhoh, better get a save up, stat, because this sounds like an urgent issue if its not just you. Is this a transferred save and does it happen with a new worldgen and embark? Theres a chance this might be a wierd save compat issue. |

I get also a crash when i press 'Enter' on a empty tile. With an old save and with fresh install and new generated world. |

@Trilo: Is it a new worldgen with the new version or is it a transferred save? We need to find that out. Just checked with a quick worldgen on the new version, and it crashes with the vanilla, unmodded too! This needs a hotfix, STAT!. Edit: Just checked, this is with BOTH versions! |

Confirmed! I had a dwarf under my cursor when pressing enter -> boom! Happens with a newly generated world in a vanilla install of 07. |

Here's an oddity, it will hang for half a second when i do it, but *doesn't* crash on mine. Perhaps certain settings cause the crash? I'm using a bit different init stuff than most, I prefer VBO for my print mode and stuff like that. |

Definitely swiftly crashes for me. I vote crank the priority on this bug way up, like, to max. This is an important part of the game. |

Strangely enough viewing objects through other screens like view items in room : doesn't seem to trigger this. |

Theres already people posting about it on the thread for the release. We just have to wait for Toady to wake up since he went to sleep after he posted. He sleeps odd hours you know. |

Happened to me when I was looking for where the gold deposits were in my previous fortress, and also when I examined one of my mining dwarves. However, I also got it when I was trying to designate a mining area once. Makes me wonder if it's associated with the enter key somehow, but that's probably impossible. |

Well, its 100% reproduceable by just about everybody, so it shouldn't be too hard to track down. |

This seems to happen to me from pressing 'k' and then enter, no matter what, IF ANYTHING, would normally be viewed this way. |

Just modifying the title to reflect the more general issue. |

You can press k and not have it crash, its when you press k+enter. Just saying as that would be a bit more accurate for the title. |

confirmed k + enter is a crash... However when I first crashed (and came looking here), I don't think I pressed k. I can't seem to figure out exactly what I did however. I'll keep an eye out. |
