| Description | Abandoning the fortress during the ambush while the invaders weren't seen by dwarves gives the message that should only appear for detected ambushes. It will be ridiculously easy to detect ambushes by periodically backuping the save and abandoning one. | ||||

tbh if your going to the trouble of doing this then it seems like your putting more effort into the solution then the problem would normally cause. Can you clarify something for me? how does abandoning the fortress allow you to see the ambush in the backed up save? |

Cryten: you abandon the game you backed up, by the message that is displayed upon abandoning you can tell if invading forces are present or not. Viable cheat for fortresses with little contact to the outside/above-ground world. |

When you press ESC, does the menu option actually change from "Abandon the Fortress" to "Succumb to the Invasion"? |
