Summary | 0003050: Nobody will do anything as far as I can tell
Description | I assign jobs such as digging, chopping trees - I designate zones with the i key for water sources and fishing, and still no one does anything - it says 7 idlers (I just embarked). Although, I was able to deconstruct the wagon with my carpenter dorf.
Steps To Reproduce | I'm not sure what triggered it - I had been generating worlds for the last several hours in an attempt to find a specific location when I gave up and simply generated a plain world (without advanced generation parameters).

Do your dwarfs have the appropriate labors enabled? Do you have proper tools (picks, axes)? Can you upload a save? http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |
|
I have all the labors set and the proper tools. I think perhaps the save of that fortress might have been corrupted somehow - I don't know how the fortresses work in regards to saves and files - because when I go to reclaim mode on the fortress (because I REALLY liked the location), the game crashes every single time without fail - yet if I make a new fortress the minimum number of spaces up (in order to embark without overlapping the old one), it works fine. Apologies for the wall. Also, I'm not sure which file. Edit: sorry, that was supposed to be "I'm not sure which file to upload for the save." |
|
The reclaim crash is probably 0002422 -- it's probably unrelated to the problem of your dwarves not working. The save is one of the region folders in data/save. Zip up the region folder (http://condor.depaul.edu/~slytinen/instructions/zip.html) and upload the zip file to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |

Reminder sent to: JamesG Are you able to provide that save? |
|
If you are able to provide a save or/and/if you see this happening again, please reopen this report. |
