| Description | A coating of blood seems to protect non-magma safe equipment and other items from melting in magma until it boils off. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but when there's 11 pages of blood on every item and the path to the magma disposal/iron sorter pit it takes years for each coating to boil and then melt/burn through the stacks of items to be disposed of. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Cover a bunch of items with blood, drop them in magma, watch blood slowly boil off before items ignite or melt. | ||||
| Additional Information | My fort is 18 years old, and the main entranceway is drenched in blood, and even though I've tried several times to remove all the blood, there always seems to be one spot that gets pushed away by the magma I use to clean, and missed by the rain. This means the blood cumulates until I now have 11 pages of blood coating the floors and that gets on anything being hauled. Also not helping is the bridge doesn't get cleaned by rain. | ||||

kwieland: I just finished clearing the blood off the map, so I can't test it, but I would assume so since pouring magma over it evaporates/pushes it off the bridge |

Can Confirm for 0.40.19 Used Bronze short swords in Arena mode. I could only get 1 layer of blood on the sword, but it lastly significantly longer than the uncovered version. My guess is maybe 4 or 5 times longer in fact, but I could be out. |
