Summary | 0003298: Legendary Metalsmith displays as Legendary Weaponsmith
Description | I have a dwarf (Doren Taronid) who is a Legendary Furnace Operator and Legendary Metalsmith. Her automatic title is 'Metalsmith' but in her skills display, it shows up as 'Legendary Furnace Operator' and 'Legendary Weaponsmith'. (See screenshot: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3148) She's actually a metalsmith - she does not work on any weapons workshops with the profile set to Legendary only.

Not a bug - Metalsmith is the category profession for all metalworking skills, including Furnace Operating, and since your dwarf has roughly equivalent experience in both skills, it's using the generic category profession name instead of calling her a Furnace Operator or a Weaponsmith (similar to a legendary Engraver/Mason being called a Stoneworker or a legendary Gem Cutter/Gem Setter being called a Jeweler). Thus, she actually does have legendary skill making weapons (and smelting stuff) and zero skill making furniture. If her top skill was Metalsmithing, she'd be called a Blacksmith. Ideally, the Metalsmith skill should just be renamed to Blacksmith to end this confusion. |

Quietust has it for the name. Workshop profiles currently are reported as not working at all, so that's not a good indication of what their skill really is. In the future just upload your images to a site like photobucket or imageshack, it's much more convenient. Does all this explain the behaviour? |

Right... I was getting 'Metalsmith' confused with 'Metalcrafter'. And workshop profiles not working explains that part. I'm good now :) |

Cool beans. Feel free to open a suggestion on the forums regarding profession names, though. |
