| Description | I am stuck in a river drowning, I was pussed there by an enemy, I have no command to climb out og the river. I need a comand to climb out of the river. It is a bug that I can not get out of the river. | ||||

Hit alt and then try to move in the direction of the shoreline. Can you get out now? |

You can't climb out of deep water if you're drowning unless you're moving up a Ramp. If anything, the bug (which is positively ancient) is that rivers and murky pools don't have ramps along their edges. |

Seeing as channeling now produces ramps instead of perfectly square holes, shouldn't worldgen create ramps at the edges of rivers & murky pools? This might alleviate the issue of dwarves dodging into rivers & then drowning in Dwarf Fortress mode too. |

I had this problem too I was an adequate swimmer jumped in then realised the bank was 2 z levels not one and couldn't climb out again. The river bank needs to be one z level for you to be able to climb out |
