Description | http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3320 Squad "a" has 8 members in (s) squad screen, but (m) military screen lists only 5. Possible reason for crashing game. Dunno how it became thus, but at one time squad a just became empty, filled with 5 immigrants, and noted later that there's discrepancy in numbers/ actual squad members. World generated in vanilla .16, played to year 9. Also has suffered considerable FPS loss. This save also has the leaking Iron floodgate at the magma flow looking like a stack of bars, but also working stone floodgates with normal X icon character for them. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | look at military and squad screens. Check out floodgates with lever attach to see buggy and leaking ones. Magma flow to lake. | ||||
Additional Information | I suspect corruption of game memory due to saving the game and continuing it right away again, without quitting in between, leading to corrupted values in game memory. FPS loss probably due to blood and other contaminants spreading widely. | ||||

The leaking floodgate that looks like bars was probably linked using a mechanism that was not magma-safe (see 0003444). The buggy squad listing is probably another variant of 0001806 - by any chance did you load one fortress, Save it, then load another fortress without exiting and restarting Dwarf Fortress? |

The 'leaking' floodgate is actually not built, probably because the mechanisms melted, so we can focus this report on the squad info. Loaded this in 31.21. Squad 'a' is The Silvery Beans. Position 6, 8 and 10 highlight 'remove from squad' but hitting enter doesn't do anything (no dwarf occupies those positions). Same for position 2 of squad 'e' The Razors of Distance. I replaced those positions with actual dwarfs and added a captain to squad 'e' - it causes a crash. It does not crash if you just let it run or delete all the squads. Not getting any errorlog.txt entries, which usually posts squad related indexing issues. |

See 4099 for the squad stuff too. Says it's fixed. |

Thanks - I downloaded the other save to verify and it is a duplicate. It is actually a duplicate of this one, but since that is a better report, I'll defer to it. |
