Summary | 0003615: Enemy touches stone fall trap, game crashes
Description | Whenever a creature is hit by a stone fall trap, I get a window telling me that "Dwarf Fortress.exe has stopped working", then after a few seconds that "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It has been triggered, in chronological order, by: -Unknown creature (most likely mountain goat or hoary marmot); -An Ettin; -A Hydra; -A goblin, on multiple occasions. Dwarves, tame animals and merchants don't cause any problems. The fort has been created in 0.31.16, but the bug began to happen only when I downloaded 0.31.17
Steps To Reproduce | 1- Build Stone fall trap 2- Wait for some creature to wander into it 3- Crash
Additional Information | It has been triggered, in chronological order, by: -Unknown creature (most likely mountain goat or hoary marmot); -An Ettin; -A Hydra; -A goblin, on multiple occasions. The fort has been created in 0.31.16, but the bug began to happen only when I downloaded 0.31.17 I have rebooted my computer, reinstalled the game several times (after the weapon trap fix, according to the log on the official website), in different folders, and ran it in Administrator mode.

The weapon trap fix hasn't even been released yet. This is PROBABLY fixed by the same thing, but it's a different trap type so I'll leave it open for you to check your save when 31.18 is released. |

Just to confirm, I've had this identical issue (Win7 64, v 31.17) with goblins thus far. Tested the above multiple times (at the same site) on various goblins. |
|
Yeah, it should be fixed for 0.31.18. |
