| Description | hitting q and moving the cursor over a cage does nothing. Animals can't be moved between cages or removed from them, nor can you assign animals to be caged. They can be used in cage traps, and an animal trainer ordered to capture live animals will do so succesfully. Butchers seem to ignore the caged animals. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | make some cages and catch an animal, or buy a caged animal from traders. hit q, move cursor over cage. | ||||

Are these cages in a stockpile or have you built them first? [b], [j]. Also, I'm assuming these are large animals since you mentioned the butcher. But are the purchased animals vermin? |

all kinds of animals, dogs, cats, horses, bulls, rats, caught or purchased, in a stockpile or not. christ hadn't built them, now it works. Never mind! |

you can't q over cages in stockpiles to release animals. You have to build the cage first. |

Yeah, I think this quirk gets almost everyone. |
