The only bee COLONIES I've seen are of bumblebees, rather. There are bumblebees around those colonies, though, and honey bees around my hives. |

Indeed. My beekeeper went and picked up a bumblebee colony (i checked). when the colony was inserted in hive - Live honeybees.?? Definite bug. My other test map had honeybees that remained honeybees after collecting... |

When I loaded the save, I placed a hive adjacent to a bumblebee colony and the dwarf walked over to a honey bee colony 30 tiles away and installed it properly. In order to fix this, I'll need a save that gets the dwarf before they grab the bumblebees. I've always had them walk to the right kind of colony and get the right critters. |
