Summary0004516: Semi-locked state while using Notes/Points/Routes
DescriptionI was following along with the wiki entry for "Military Interface" and was doing some of it in my game as I read. I had created a squad, created a few burrows, and was in the process of creating some waypoints with which to make a patrol route. I created the fourth point, then went to rename it as I had the first three. Obviously, either something broke or I hit a wrong key while I was doing this, because now the game is stuck in a very strange, semi-locked state.
Additional InformationOK, I really like this embark despite not having seen any iron ore yet (though that's worrying me). So I'm very afraid of losing it to some kind of weird bug. Here's the deal:

I was following along with the wiki entry for "Military Interface" and was doing some of it in my game as I read.

First, it is NOT frozen or unresponsive in the traditional, "I have to use Task Manager to kill it" sort of way. The underscore sort of cursor is blinking in the field where I was to enter the new name. A dwarf on the screen is blinking. My scroll wheel will zoom the map normally, though the arrow keys will not pan around, nor will < or > go up and down z-levels. TAB will change the appearance of the menu/minimap. Other functions I'm not familiar with seem to be working, too. For instance, if I press Alt-S, I get a wide, blue-bordered text entry field across the middle of the screen. I typed a bunch of random things into that, several times. Later, I pressed some other key combination and was greeted with a small box in the middle of my map that seemed to allow me to select from a list of those random things I'd typed in before. Some kind of notes feature perhaps? Through random key-pressing, I also noticed a red "REC" appear at the top of the screen (and then disappear when I pressed it again, presumably ending some recording), and I got a screen at one point that offered me the chance to do something about saving run recordings or somesuch.

Here's what it looks like now:

Like I said, there is a blinking underscore style cursor right next to the blue exclamation point "Place" symbol at the top. Any thoughts on how I can get back to a playable state? If I just kill the DF application (which I'd have to do, since Esc doesn't back me out at all), will my game be corrupted, or will it fall back to some earlier save (making me scream at lost progress, but at least not losing the whole damn fort)?

Thoughts?
