| Description | It has now happened several times that when a dwarf wasn't buried and became a ghost it was able to claim a coffin as a tomb. This doesn't cause it to be laid to rest and appears to prevent burial (at least to some degree). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1 get a(several (the more the merrier)) dwarf to die 2 place a burial rectangular 3 prevent dwarf from burring (use whatever you like consider forgotten beasts or just a door and forbid) 4 your ghost should start claiming the coffin after some time (trough they don't always do this). | ||||

Er, all dead dwarves immediately claim a coffin upon death (unless there aren't any available, in which case they'll claim one once you build it and designate it for burial), even if their remains are inaccessible at the time (or even if their remains were destroyed) - once you allow all of their remains to be entombed, then their ghost should be put to rest. |

I'm going to resolve this one right now. It is not the dwarf claiming the tomb but rather the remaining dwarves giving that free tomb to him. Quietust covers the part about preventing burial - it sounds like you deliberately prevented burial in your case which will, of course, make it look like the ghost is claiming the coffin, which is not the case. |
