Summary | 0004822: Overlap problem between downward staircase designations and smoothing the floor
Description | I had a large room designated for smoothing the stone, and then over the top of that I designated a downward staircase to be dug. The staircase was completed okay (completed first), but for some reason the smoothing stone designation had not gone away when I designated the staircase, and the floor was later smoothed there. My staircase disappeared, and was replaced by smooth stone floor.
Steps To Reproduce | Designate an area to be smoothed (perhaps large so they don't get to it quickly). Designate a downward stair and wait for it to be dug. Wait for the smoothing to happen (or lessen the area). Observe nonexistent staircase.
Additional Information | I imagine this will also be the case for engraving instead of smoothing, and maybe channeling instead of the downward staircase, but I don't know and haven't tested it. I also don't know if the same will happen if I switch the order and designate a downward staircase and then the smoothing before the stair is dug.
