Summary | 0004987: Wrong surnames om engraved walls (and possibly artifacts)
Description | When a dwarf engrave events related to history (ascension of a King, foundation of a fortress, etc.), some of the related events happened your actual fortress. I have noticed the surnames of the involved characters were wrong (though the 1st names are OK). For example, at the early days of my fortress, one of my hunters killed a goblin thief, and the event was engraved later on by one of my dwarves. The first names of both the goblin and the dwarf were OK but not the surnames. It is a recurrent error for every related events (the expedition leader of my fortress, the baron, etc.) Another (funny) bug: sometimes artefacts have representation of other artefacts (usually the expensive ones). It happened once that an artefact had a representation of itself.
Steps To Reproduce | It happens systematically

Are you certain that the surnames are *wrong*? And not simply translated? |

sorry for the second bug, I didn't it was already reported. My OS is Windows 7 x64, professional edition. I am using a graphic pack (I am not sure its name though), I am not using any mode. I will try to find a picture with a detailed wall where names are wrong. to Knight Otu: I assumed the surnames were wrong since the first names were correct. |

Here an example: the chief medical dwarf on the engraved wall is named Minkot Matchdike http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=5278 His actual name is Minkot Dalzatimush http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=5279 But I just realised it could be actually a translation, as Matchdike does not sound very dwarvish, in which case I apologise for wasting your time! |

From language_DWARF.txt: [T_WORD:MATCH CONTEST:dalzat] [T_WORD:DIKE:imush] That pretty much confirms it. |
