Summary | 0005184: Peaceful creatures with assigned interactions go crazy with it.
Description | I have modded my game and given the human race a polymorph others and fireball (taken straight from the fire imps) interactions. They spam it on others, converting everyone within reach into whatever that polymorph spell was assigned with. Also, they throw their fireballs at each other, burning everything. Might be a feature; cats do head-bumps liberally. But this issue needs to be addressed if combat-based interactions for peaceful creatures.
Steps To Reproduce | Mod a creature, preferably a peaceful civ type to have combat-based interactions, like the fire imp fireball interaction. Generate a world, start as a member of the same race as the edited creatures. Watch as the logs are filled with combat spam.
Additional Information | This does not apply only to combat-oriented interactions. A creature with a self polymorph reaction will spam it (and occasionally target others, even when the interaction is intended for self use, for some reason).

Reminder sent to: New Guy Please upload any non-vanilla raws to http://pastebin.com/ and post the links here. |
|
Can I upload a save instead? I deleted most of the raws, excluding the save. Or I could just dig up the raws from the aforementioned save later. I'm away from the computer atm. |
|
The raws are the important part, and I'd rather not have to download the whole save to look at them, so if you could dig them up, that would be great. |

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50495103/advbugs.zip The above are some cleaned up raws needed to reproduce them. I also did some researching on my own. They actually don't use the fireballs liberally, so I guess I was wrong about it. They, however, will use them on the polymorphed creature and practically cause a loyalty cascade of large proportions. They also will polymorph a creature given the chance to do so, also assuming they have a polymorph interaction. Main issue now is that polymorphed creatures are treated as neutral, in the sense that they don't have allegiances. Not sure if I left [OPPOSED_TO_LIVING] there, though. FAKEDIT: Just did more research and yeah, it's [OPPOSED_TO_LIVING] causing it. The real main issue now is that they will polymorph others should they have an interaction that can do so. |

[CDI:INTERACTION:INFECT_BLOODSPORE] [CDI:TARGET:A:LINE_OF_SIGHT] Try making that TARGET:A:SELF_ONLY instead. There's a DF Modding forum for this kind of thing: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?board=13.0 In general, if there's any uncertainty about whether a problem is due to an actual bug or just erroneous modding, it's best to try the modding forum first. |
