| Description | I have plenty of coal, metal, and a dwarf with blacksmithing; I added a steel anvil job at my forge and it never became active. I didn't get "needs X" messages or anything. It just sat there until I canceled it so that other jobs could be completed. I also tried making an iron anvil with the same results. | ||||

I remember having to enable multiple metalcrafting-type jobs to get it to work. Not sure which. |

Reminder sent to: ToadChild I was able to successfully forge an iron anvil on both a regular and magma forge with a dwarf with only blacksmithing enabled. Is it possible you turned off your job cancellation messages? Do you see this happening in a current version (31.12 and above) and are you able to upload a save? http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |

I haven't tried this particular task since the very initial releases. If you can make it work then I'll assume it's been fixed in the interim. |

I just checked it in 0.31.10 and it worked fine for me. |
