Summary | 0005667: Dwarves Refuse to Construct Wall if Preferred Location is Outside Burrow
Description | I'm honestly not sure this is major, but it is more than minor because it constitutes a safety hazard to the Dwarves. I am using a burrow to keep idiotic Dwarves from prancing around on ice over a river, just above a waterfall where they are prone to drown when the water is flowing. I asked for a wall to be built on the south bank of the river. It would have been perfectly possible to built the wall from the south, as would be done if there was something physically blocking the northern approach. Instead, Dwarves repeatedly attempted the preferred northern approach, declared that they were forbidden to go there, and suspended the job. Only by extending the burrow one square onto the ice was I able to get the job completed.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Define a burrow. 2. Set civilian alert to use the burrow. 3. Request a wall be built on the northern edge of the burrow. Dwarves will not build it unless they are allowed to come in from the north.
