Summary | 0005749: Underground canal connected to ocean not valid fishing zone
Description | I made a basement room at sealevel with a canal to the ocean. Tried to set zone for fishing, zone dialog says 'fishing (0)' over 7 deep water.
Steps To Reproduce | embark near ocean cliff, dig out a room at sea level, make a wide channel in the room and tunnel to the ocean. Channel out last blocks at the beach. Now try to set zone.
Additional Information | possible causes? canal walls/bottom are smoothed and engraved inlet drawbridge (open) blocking fish? water does not have access to sky in between ocean and planned fishing room

Fishing zone needs to be ground tile next to water. Putting down a fishing zone that is entirely water does not work. |
|
unfortunately kerning makes ascii depictions worthless here, but trust me there is a floor to stand on next to the water. |
|
Update: after digging to outside @ sea level (that is the dry level of the beach) fishing zones are active. |

Reminder sent to: nshapter Screenshots would be helpful, as would a save demonstrating the problem. |
