Summary | 0005959: haulers carry bins/barrels to item instead of vice versa
Description | Summary says it all. This usually makes trips twice as long so it has a very negative impact. For instance, a farmer will go to the field to get a harvestable plump helmet. He will then get a new job to go get a barrel from the food stockpile, carry it there, put the plump helmet in, and carry it back. I thought maybe this was new intended behavior with 0.34.10 but I didn't see anything about it in the notes.

This is somewhat intended behavior. When storing an item in a bin or barrel, the bin/barrel is carried to the item(s) now. The upside is they will usually grab lots of items to fill up the bins to make each trip very efficient. But, it can seem slower when dealing with single items produced one at a time. |

This looks like a duplicate of bug 0005895: Herbalist takes multiple trips/plant. |

I agree, thanks! |
