| Summary | 0005960: Whenever i've saved on dwarf fortress, firstly 0.34.9 and secondly with the lazy newb pack on 0.34.07 it has been deleted | ||||
| Description | After I've saved and quit, with it giving me the play world option before i quit, upon my return I'm confronted with only the create new world option. As for the lazy newb pack, my settings have reset and there is also no save to be found. When i downloaded the May Green tileset also using 0.34.07, the same issue occured. When i have checked the save files for each they are either not there or empty. I have not yet tried 0.34.10 and the issue may be resolved with that, but as i am having difficulty updating the lazy newb pack I'm hoping you can help me with it as is, or instruct me as to how to update it if it has been fixed in a previous update. | ||||

Well, i saved it in downloads. How do i unzip it to my hard drive? |

I use winrar. |

You have to use the extract function of winrar. |
|

I know that much, but: i'll walk you through what i did. I downloadfed it, saved, ran the exe. what else should i do? |

I've just extracted df 0.34.10 and the lazy newb pack, not selecting any location and leaving it on the default. Is that what you had in mind? |

Just extract the files to your desktop. Edit: ALL the files. |

Once you have the zipped file downloaded from the Dwarf Fortress main page, open the file in Winrar, hit ctrl+A, then select extract to, and just choose desktop as the destination. |
